Fixture Report:
The evening kicked off with Donnacha taking on Mike.ike took the first 2 games {which were close}, Donnacha took the 3rd, but Mike came back fighting to take game 4.
Next up was Thurles newbie Marguerite v Eamonn.
Eamonn proved too strong taking the match in 3 games.
Phil and Ruairi took to the court and both battled hard.
Both played some powerful shots but Ruairi was triumphant, taking the match at 3/0.
The Thurles-Australian took on the graceful Keith.
First game Keith won 15/11.
Bindy was warmed up and played well in game 2 after long rallies taking it to 18/16.
Keith continued to play consistently well.
Bindy said never say die.
Probably the most rallied game of the league was played with Keith leaving Bindy nothing to spare and won the 3rd game 15/13.
Finally Suzie and Brendan took to court 1 to battle it out.
Brendan lost the 1st game but by his own admission played some silly shots.
Game 2 was so close 17/15 and Brendan took game 3 also.
Suzie fought back and claimed game 4 but Brendan ran rings around her and played some class shots making up for what he missed in game 1, ending game 5 at 15/8.
Good fun and banter was had on the evening…
