Leinster Junior Open 2015

Congrats to Roisin Kirwan (Dunhill) and Sophie O’Rourke (Highfield) who won the GU13 and GU15 events respectively at the LJO at the weekend.
In the GU13 final Roisin came back from 2-1 down to defeat the No.1 seed Brenda Li 11/9 in the 5th in a thriller.
In the GU15 Sophie justified her No.1 seeding defeating Ellie McVeigh (Ulster) 3/0. Sophie has now won all four Provincial Opens this season – an outstanding achievement.

All the other Munster juniors gave some great performances at the weekend

Next up is the Munster Junior Closed in Dunhill on the 24th/25th of January. Just a reminder that all players must register before next Saturday, 17th January.
