Munster Squash Junior Invitation 2014

Thurles Squash hosted this year’s Munster Junior Invitation competition – Gerry Connaughton was the tournament director. This is one of the top junior tournaments on Munster Squash’s calendar. It was a hectic two days as a record-breaking fifty-six junior squash players from all over Munster entered – representation from Dunhill, Highfield, Celtic & Thurles. Eighty-six matches were contested over two days and with just two courts available this presented a logistical challenge to the organisers.

Great credit is due to the Munster Junior Administrator Cyril O’Mahony who scheduled all the matches for the weekend. There were entries in all ten Age/Gender groups; BU11, BU13, BU15, BU17, BU19, GU11, GU13, GU15, GU17 and GU19!

It delivered a great weekend of Junior Squash.
